Danijel Cerović is an internationally acclaimed recording artist, touring musician and pedagogue from Montenegro. He is frequently invited to perform at international concert series, festivals and concert halls, including the Guitar Foundation of America Convention, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Manuel de Falla Hall in Madrid, Granada Festival Music y Danza, Koblenz International Guitar Festival, Shenyang Guitar Festival and Daejeon Guitar Festival.
He regularly performs with orchestras and chamber ensembles and gives masterclasses, lectures on Bach transcriptions, and serves on juries at universities, festivals and competitions across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
He graduated from the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade in the class of Vera Ogrizović and completed his master's studies at the Conservatory in Maastricht with Carlo Marchione. His repertoire embraces renaissance and baroque transcriptions, nineteenth- and twentieth-century works, and contemporary music written for guitar and ensembles with guitar.
As a member of the Montenegrin Guitar Duo with Goran Krivokapić, he arranged and recorded J. S. Bach's six English Suites for Naxos. He also performs with mezzo-soprano Amanda Stojović in Duo Amarilli.
Danijel Cerović co-founded and directed the International Nikšić Guitar Festival and Competition. Since 2003 he has taught at the Music Academy of the University of Montenegro in Cetinje and has also served as guest professor at the Music Academy in East Sarajevo.
